270 Beacon Hill units, all affordable, finally begin on Pacific Tower campus

Looking south, the west building (right) will be built first, followed by the east building in 2024. They’ll be separated by a large plaza and view corridor looking north to downtown.

Plans began over five years ago to add new affordable housing on the Pacific Tower campus, situated so prominently on the north prow of Beacon Hill. Weber Thompson designed the two-phase midrise apartments, now going by 1224 12th Ave. S., to be situated just north of the landmarked tower itself, on the slope down to Interstate 90 and Dr. Jose P. Rizal Bridge.
