County buys motel to shelter homeless

By JOURNAL STAFF

EDMONDS — A former America's Best Value Inn, at 22127 state Route 99 in Edmonds, recently sold for almost $8.4 million, according to Snohomish County records.

The buyer was the county, which is planning to use it to help folks transition out of homelessness. The Lynnwood Times, KING 5 and others reported the pending deal in August.
