29-story SLU apartment tower nearing its first design review

The plan would bring big changes to a half block that’s remained stubbornly low-rise.

Plans emerged this fall for Union Church and its neighbor — now renting that building to Goodwill — to redevelop their midblock properties in South Lake Union. Weber Thompson is designing the apartment tower at 415 Westlake Ave. N. , with the first design review set for Feb. 1.
