Amazon celebrates the local largesse of its Housing Equity Fund

From this humble mud shall 270 affordable units rise, with help from Amazon.

Since its $2 billion launch last January, Amazon's national Housing Equity Fund has deployed over $150 million in our region to support affordable housing. Some of that has been toward new ground-up construction, while other dollars have helped preserve humble old apartments that might otherwise have been redeveloped in private hands. Around 1,774 affordable units have been preserved, or are to be created, via Amazon grants and loans.
