SEATTLE — Plans for converting a long-vacant former Walgreens into a Kiddie Academy childcare center have apparently fizzled. That proposal for 8701 Greenwood Ave. N. has been quiet for the past two years.
Now Lee & Associates has put the property on the market, unpriced. The recent listing from Lee's Jim Reed says that a lease for the 14,707-square-foot building would also be considered. The corner, at North 87th Street, is zoned up to 55 feet — thus making it a good candidate for multifamily development. (East across the street, that's exactly what became of the former Safeway.)
