SoDo building sells for over $29M

Only the taller east building in the background has sold, not its shorter companion in the foreground, which faces Airport Way.

A newer portion of the Old Rainier Brewery complex in SoDo, at 918 S. Horton St., recently sold for $29.2 million, according to King County records. The seller was 3100 Airport Way South LP, which is associated with EB-5 developer American Life and partners. The complex is immediately west of Interstate 5, with its famous red neon R on top. It's also a condominium, aka Rainier Commons. That complex has a complicated history, and many owners of its various components.
