70 Wallingford units planned for former Guild 45th site

The east cinema building still awaits demolition. East (left) of that is the relocated Octopus Bar.

The west of two separate Guild 45th cinemas, at 2105 and 2115 N. 45th St., was demolished last fall. Both had been shuttered and vacant since 2017. Owner 2929 Productions LLC had previously fought off landmark designation, tried and failed to sell the broken-tooth property, then acquired the strategic Octopus Bar property — between the two cinemas — about two years ago. That, too, was demolished last year along with the green (west) theater.
