Mass-timber tower chopped in size

SEATTLE — The First Hill triangle at 1422 Seneca St. has been mostly quiet since it sold last May to an LLC associated with Pryde Development. The master use permit for planned mass-timber apartments, designed by Clark Barnes, came earlier that year. There's since been no movement toward construction on Akari House, nor is there any definite sign of a general contractor.

What has changed, effective last fall, is a revised MUP. What was previously slated to be 18 stories and 135 units has been reduced to 12 stories and 88 units.
