Ballard's Kress grocery building goes back on market

A smoke shop now occupies part of the space facing Market.

The former Kress grocery store in Ballard, at 2220 N.W. Market St., last traded to California investors in 2018. They then paid a little over $4.2 million for the long, skinny midblock building — one in a series of ambitious pre-pandemic land buys. Two of those three investments returned to market in recent years, and now the Kress building is being offered, too.
