Champion slashes U District tower plan

Champion Real Estate owns the corner site at 700 N.E. 45th St., just east of the freeway, and long associated with Seattle Go Center. With architect Weber Thompson, Champion also has a master use permit, secured last year, for a 21-story, 110-unit student housing tower, dubbed Victory at the U.
