First Light pouring last levels of concrete, now leasing the offices below 459 condos

Two weeks ago, looking north on Third, the tower appears tantalizingly close to topping out.

High above the roaring buses of Third Avenue, Build Group is in the final stages of vertical construction at the First Light condominium tower. The steel framing has topped out at 2000 Third Ave., where Westbank is developing the 48-story project. City inspection reports say concrete was being poured at level 47 on Wednesday. The crane and concrete pump are still visible from the sidewalk, but won't be needed much longer.
