Sam's Tavern to land at Gridiron

SEATTLE — In January of last year, local investor Aron English bought the commercial space at the Gridiron building in the stadium district. He then told the DJC that he'd put his offices on the west side of the flatiron-shaped condominium at 589 Occidental Ave. S., and was seeking a restaurant tenant for the east side — facing Lumen Field.

And last week Sam's Tavern filed a plan to fill those 5,841 square feet, including a small mezzanine. Graham Baba Architects is designing the new space, and Chain Construction has already hung up its sign.
