Light rail to W. Seattle? Here are the winners, losers above ground

Pecos Pit will likely have to move.

Sound Transit has effectively split the baby while planning the fiendishly complicated future light rail line from Ballard to West Seattle. Environmental impact statements, preferred routes, alternative routes, citizen feedback, funding sources, existing infrastructure to navigate, bridges, tunnels and canals — these all produce a colorful spaghetti-string map of possible routes and their stations above.
