More details emerge for 33-story tower at Horizon House

The new west tower, center, will overlook Freeway Park and downtown.

As the DJC first reported two years ago, Horizon House and architect-of-record Mithun are planning a now 33-story, 202-unit west tower — as it is dubbed — on its First Hill senior housing campus at 900 University St. The project will replace the relatively small old west wing, still with residents, and its associated garage. There's no sign yet of a demolition permit for that.
