The corner site faces west to the Olympic Sculpture Park and Elliott Bay.

Plans emerged one year ago, first reported in the DJC, to redevelop some old Belltown industrial/lab buildings at 3000 Western Ave. with new apartments. Washington Holdings subsequently confirmed its intent to buy the corner property from Alexandria Real Estate Equities.
