The project would go immediately south of the landowner’s companion motel.

Vacant lots are in short supply in Seattle, but a longtime motel owner owns such a grassy patch at 4112 Aurora Ave. N., immediately south of the Marco Polo. Now there's a slow-moving 48-unit apartment plan, appropriately dubbed the Polo View, which hasn't yet entered design review. A minor boundary line adjustment will be required.
