There’s been no land sale, and there’s no declared start date for the project — which hopes to land a new grocery store as the anchor tenant.

Plans emerged nearly two years ago for Security Properties to buy and redevelop the old Wedgwood Center retail complex, which spans about 2 acres at 8400 35th Ave. N.E. The QFC closed in 2021; Wedgwood Broiler and other small businesses remain.
