SEATTLE — Late last fall, Meriwether Advisors listed several parcels in the University District on behalf of University Presbyterian Church. (The church itself isn't being offered.) Among its various satellite properties and parking lots are some old residences used as rooming houses. Meriwether's listing said that ground leases would be favored, instead of outright sales.
Thus there's a new proposal from a local investor, filed last week, to develop a four-story, 77-unit apartment building at 4709 16th Ave. N.E. Skidmore Janette filed the early plan, which isn't yet in design review. Four old houses would be removed if the project proceeds.
