Commerce awards $240,000 for low-income housing planning

The Washington State Department of Commerce awarded $240,000 to five community partnerships to support coordination of their land-use and homeless services planning.

Each city or county-led partnership received a grant of $40,000 or $50,000 that will be used to plan for their lowest income housing needs, including for residents experiencing homelessness. With both Growth Management Act comprehensive plans and five-year county homelessness plans due around the same time, these grants support critical planning efforts between regional partners.
