Triangle Hotel building renovation gains steam

Pictured in 1975, with the viaduct behind, the upper floors were then offices for owner-architects Les Tonkin and Walt Greissinger.

Investor Ray Spencer and a partner bought the flatiron-shaped little Triangle Hotel building back in 2017, about two years before the viaduct came down. (Its namesake pub closed during the pandemic.) Renovation plans emerged under architect BuildingWork last summer, and the Pioneer Square Preservation District Board will receive another briefing on the project this Wednesday.
