LIHI, ICHS plan 90 units in ID

SEATTLE — As the DJC first reported last summer, the Low Income Housing Institute was then planning an eight-story, 90-unit apartment project at 710 Seventh Ave. S., which would replace an old warehouse complex. The land sale came last month, for nearly $8 million, to its partner, International Community Health Services, which now leases space nearby in the International District.

ICHS and LIHI formally announced their plans this week. A new clinic will occupy the lower three floors (totaling about 35,000 square feet), with affordable housing above. The goal is to begin construction in 2026. Fifteen parking stalls are envisioned, with a total project size of around 140,000 square feet.
