SEATTLE — Savills issued a second-quarter office report this week for our region, which included some favorable subleasing news for Rainier Square. That 58-story office tower, at 401 Union St., has gained two new tenants: Remitly, with 86,519 square feet; and Russell Investments, with 55,286 square feet. Neither has announced a move-in date.
Puget Sound Business journal was first to spot the Savills report. JLL represents Amazon for the subleasing effort at Rainier Square. Amazon jolted the downtown office market in early 2019, pre-pandemic, when it announced it wouldn't take those 720,000 square feet. JLL's Cleita Harvey and Jim Allison have been gradually filing the void since then.
