Panattoni moves closer to start on large Des Moines industrial building

Construction is hoped to begin early next year.

Plans go back to early 2021 for the Port of Seattle to acquire about 30 acres of then state-owned land at 1432 S. 216th St. in Des Moines . The nearly $3 million sale was three summers years ago. (There was also a related small-dollar land sale from Weyerhaeuser.) Panattoni Development was then selected to be the developer, on a ground lease.
