JCPenney store sells for almost $13M

LYNNWOOD — The JCPenney store at Alderwood, at 18601 33rd Ave. W., sold out of bankruptcy last week for nearly $12.9 million, according to Snohomish County records.

The seller was a fairly new LLC associated with JCPenney, which entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2020. The retailer had owned the property for decades, and that store remains open.
