Bellingham bank takes the red-brick historicist path

A public plaza, at left, will separate the bank from the neighboring Mason Block.

Once home to Zane Burger, today a used car lot, there's a corner parcel in Bellingham that lies just outside the Fairhaven Historic District. Peoples Bank acquired the 1315 12th St. property last year for just under $2 million, and plans soon emerged for a new two-story bank building.
