Northmarq gives Bellwether a holiday gift

Based in Minneapolis, Northmarq regularly helps finance local real estate deals. But, appropriate to the coming holiday season, it recently announced some outright gifts. The company has donated $160,000 to a dozen-odd affordable housing developers across the nation. (Organizations fighting homelessness were also among the beneficiaries.) On the list is our own Bellwether Housing, which recently opened its 182-unit Flourish on Rainier (pictured). Northmarq CEO Jeff Weidell said in a statement, “Northmarq is passionate about giving back to our local communities, with a particular focus on housing insecurity and increasing access to affordable housing. I am proud that we're able to do that through opportunities like these that are woven into the fabric of our company.”
