Once home to Crescent Foods, RDA Building is poised for a makeover

A modest cosmetic renovation is planned for century-old warehouse on the corner of South Dearborn Street.

As the DJC first reported in September , a sale seems brewing for the mostly empty RDA Building at 800 Maynard Ave. S. in the International District. Once home to Crescent Foods, later converted to offices, its fate now appears to be self-storage. Prospective buyer Tourbineau Real Estate Partners will brief the International Special Review District Board today on its conversion plan. Neiman Taber Architects is designing the new scheme.
