Redmond site could get 180 apartments

REDMOND — Right next to downtown Redmond's Hilton Garden Inn are a few old houses, mostly converted to small offices. They've been owned since the 1990s by an investor who previously partnered with the hotel development team. (That opened three years back.)

Now there's a plan from Urbal Architecture to replace the houses with a six-story, 180-unit apartment project at 16701 N.E. 79th St. The unnamed project is in early discussions with the city, not yet in formal design review.
