Work begins on 84 Capitol Hill units, all affordable, plus youth-services hub

A formal groundbreaking should come in the weeks ahead.

Construction fencing has gone up around the south parking lot at 1534 Broadway, and Community Roots Housing says that soft demo began last week on the preservation component of that 84-unit affordable housing project on Capitol Hill.
