SEATTLE — Ground-floor leasing in Pioneer Square has been spotty since the pandemic. With far fewer office workers to support lunch joints and happy hour watering holes, many storefronts have sat vacant for years. But, well before spring arrives, there are two fresh signs of life.
First, at 616 First Ave., in the Lowman & Hanford Building, the vacant former Stop sandwich shop is now seeing renovations and a state liquor license application for Mirabelle by Orphee. That's to be the next bakery/cafe/wine bar in the local chain run by Orphee Fouano, which has five similar operations on the Eastside. The broker is unknown for building owner Manchester Capital Management. Mirabelle may be subleasing from the Stop's business owner.
