TACOMA — Just over a year ago, Rush Cos. paid a little more than $3 million for a tear-down commercial building at 124 Tacoma Ave. S. That's just east of Wright Park, in the Stadium District neighborhood, near the light-rail line. The half-acre site is on the corner of South Second Street.
Earlier this week, Rush and Urbal Architecture filed an updated eight-story, 147-unit apartment proposal for the corner. It builds upon a similar plan from last fall, which describes 126 mostly structured parking stalls (on a sloping site). Units would range from studios to two-beds. A bike room is also planned.
