Church sells vacant Redmond land

REDMOND — First Baptist Church of Rose Hill isn't going away, unlike some congregations that have dissolved and sold their properties to developers. Instead, in an over $2.4 million deal recorded this week by King County, the church sold over an acre to Longhouse Redmond LLC, which is planning a 15-bed memory care facility just east of the church building. (That's at 13801 N.E. 80th St. )

The church had owned the vacant land for decades. Brokers weren't announced. The sale was worth about $51 per square foot.
