Crown Hill stream could see daylight

SEATTLE — A nearly 1-acre site once intended for apartments at 9740 Eighth Ave. N.W. sold to the city of Seattle this month for a bit over $7 million. King County recorded the deal about two weeks ago.

Seller F.R. McAbee Inc. had paid about $4 million for the former Philadelphia Church property in early 2021. Plans, now dead, then followed for a four-story, 63-unit building.
