156 West Seattle units planned

SEATTLE — The Fairway, at 4511 35th Ave. S.W., is a modest 1960s-era apartment building with a terrific location: directly west of the West Seattle Golf Course. And the future Avalon Station will eventually open about two blocks to the north, probably replacing the Taco Time.

The four-story, 27-unit Fairway last traded for $2.5 million to local investors in 2005. Now, working with architect Tiscareno, there's a new redevelopment plan. The Fairway and a small house would be removed from their half block. Then would rise a seven-story, 156-unit building dubbed the Fairway II.
