‘Big Pink,' Portland's largest office tower, goes on the block

The tower went up in 1973 as the regional HQ for U.S. Bank, which is leaving the building.

Twenty-five years ago, in a very different office market, Unico Properties and partners acquired the 42-story U.S. Bancorp Tower in downtown Portland. U.S. Bank was then the seller. It remained a tenant and part owner, in a venture with Unico and Chase Capital Partners of New York.
