B.C. eatery eyes U District expansion

SEATTLE — The two-tower Standard at Seattle project, at 4220 12th Ave. N.E., opened in the fall of 2023. Intended mainly for student renters, it has about 1,545 beds in 426 units (or suites).

The project also has about 5,000 square feet of retail on offer, with MSC University as the broker. In the north tower, there's a new restaurant plan from Yin Ji Chang Fet, which presently has one location in Vancouver, B.C., serving Chinese food. The proposal comes from architect Ausilio Design, which is based in Friday Harbor.
