Mary's Place to occupy old motel

SEATTLE — Last year, developer Gemdale USA abandoned its Skyblox office plan for the half block at 618 John St. Cushman & Wakefield put the property on the market, and no buyers have yet emerged.

However, there's a new plan from Mary's Place, filed last week, to explore potentially occupying the vacant old 159-room Quality Inn as an interim shelter. Perkins&Will filed the proposal for the nonprofit to begin initial feasibility work (LMN was the prior office architect.)
