Where we once ate: Mama’s Mexican Kitchen lasted from 1974-2016.

Landmarking isn't a guarantee against demolition. If old and decrepit enough, if damaged by earthquake or fire, if a building owner can convince the city there's no viable economic future for a creaky, landmarked structure, it can be razed.
