SEATTLE — In downtown's Russell Investments Center, the former lobby coffee shop seems to have been a casualty of the pandemic. Passersby have hardly noticed the absence of Chip & Drew's Filling Station, since plywood covered the windows for a long time at 1301 Second Ave. That's now gone, replaced with new signage and a window wrap for Porter, on the south side of the lobby.
Porter already has one 5-year-old outpost at Skanska's 2+U, a block south on First Avenue. There it operates a cheerful, tasteful and very curated retail/cafe/co-work space, which generally seems well occupied during the work week and during office hours.
