SEATTLE — As was widely reported last year, Bellwether Housing's Vine Court building was damaged by a fire, which left one person dead and six injured. The DJC subsequently reported this spring that the owner was weighing costly repairs to the four-story, 55-unit building at 103 Vine St. Demolition and a new building were also then under consideration.
Instead, Kidder Mathews put the building on the block, and King County recorded the $5.7 million sale last week. The buyer was Coverse Vine 55 LLC, which is associated with Heaton Dainard Real Estate of Bellevue. Public records indicate a loan from Intrust Funding.
