From retail to residential in LQA

SEATTLE — The Kirin apartments, at 417 Second Ave. W. in Lower Queen Anne, opened in the fall of 2021 with 95 apartments over commercial space. Brokers for the latter two bays have recently included JSH Properties. Those 2,583 square feet have never been filled.

The Uptown commercial strip lies a few blocks east, along Queen Anne Avenue North. Away from that strip, brokers are hard-pressed to place tenants on side streets with little foot traffic. It's a familiar dilemma all over the city, including downtown.
