Built for our 1962 World's Fair, the old Quality Inn is still standing at 618 John St., between Lower Queen Anne and South Lake Union. (Update: Cushman & Wakefield had been trying to sell the half block for landowner Gemdale USA. But after deadline, Gemdale said it was off the market — and that the previously considered interim use by Mary's Place is now off the table.) Gemdale’s old Skyblox office plan came to naught, caught by the collapsing post-pandemic office market.
