Demo begins for new UW housing at U Village, and near Five Corners

The new four-building Blakeley Village is to have about 1,000 beds in 487 shared suites.

On the northeast shoulder of University Village, demolition has begun on the UW-owned student housing complex known as Blakeley Village. That's at 4747 30th Ave. N.E., on the south side of the Burke Gilman Trail.
