High-rise zoning hasn’t resulted in any new building plans for the U District corner.

If you're exiting northbound from Interstate 5 to the University District, making the weave before the right-hander to Northeast 45th Street, what we'll call the Petco corner should instantly come to mind. First there is its large west parking lot, next to the offramp, then the vacant east retail building on your right, at 815 N.E. 45th St.
