Now known as West8, the Denny Triangle office tower at 2001 Eighth Ave. was once filled with Amazon workers. They left, the building stood empty, and Kilroy hired SkB Architects and Venture General Contracting two years ago to give the 28-story building a refresh. That investment is now paying off. Kilroy announced this week that the century-old law firm Foster Garvey has signed for 52,000 square feet. In the third quarter of next year, it'll take two and one-half floors. (The firm will decamp from the 1111 Third building; it has other offices around the region.) Kilroy's Rob Paratte said in the announcement, “We are pleased to welcome Foster Garvey. West8 continues to attract quality tenants who value connectivity, sustainability and best-in-class building amenities.” Brokers weren't announced, but CBRE assumed that role in the last year or so, with David Abbott, Greg Inglin and Katie Nagle now representing the space. West8 has about 535,395 square feet. Adjusting for the future new tenant, leasing materials indicate that occupancy is at or near 50%.
