Save the Northup lighthouse! Public Storage to redevelop, but shining beacon is spared

What with all the new light-rail stations along the Bel-Red to Overlake corridor, there's been some loss in Bellevue's vital self-storage sector. Those old rows of one-story, garage-door-fronted buildings are gradually being torn down. New midrise apartment buildings sprout in their place, on land made newly valuable for TOD.
