The former Building A at the ParQ office park, shown here at center, is gone. Costco was once a tenant.

Over in Issaquah, a field of rubble and rebar is now the only remnant of the former Building A at the ParQ office park (formerly Sammamish Park Place).

The corner site, at 22011 S.E. 51st St., sold in December for over $25 million to KB Home, as the DJC then reported. Beginning last year, the developer has been steadily gaining city permits for a 74-unit townhouse project now dubbed the Enclave.

Ascendent is in charge of the demolition, following the February permit for that job. Based on a visit last weekend, with excavators then sitting dormant, a few more weeks of rubble clearing remains before the 4.7 acres of dirt will be ready for grading and utilities work. (The old building dated to 1987; Costco was once a tenant.)

There's no sign yet of a construction loan or redrawing of the lot lines, as will be required for future sales.

KB typically acts as its own builder. Its team also includes KTGY, architect and planner; Riley Group, geotechnical engineer; Core, civil engineer, surveyor and landscape architect; Soundview Consultants, arborist and SEPA/wetlands advisor; and Transpo Group, traffic consultant.

The Enclave site is a little north of downtown and Interstate 90, near Lake Sammamish State Park. It's bounded to the east by the East Lake Sammamish Trail, which affords the best view of the project.
