SEATTLE — Almost exactly two years ago, the nonprofit Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority paid about $7.4 million for a long-vacant former dry-cleaning property. That's at 650 S. Dearborn St., on the corner of Maynard.
The legacy name is Spic N Span Cleaners, and the corner is on the state Department of Ecology roster of polluted properties. The site is fenced. Cleanup is underway, but a determination of no further action (NFA) hasn't yet been issued from Ecology.
