20 affordable units sell for over $5M

SEATTLE — In a pair of related sales, with more possibly to follow, two older affordable housing properties traded last week to LPs associated with local shop Redwood Housing and Hearthstone Housing, of California. For both, new covenants signed with the city and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ensure that they're remain affordable. The two deals were worth about $5.2 million. The seller was Community Roots Housing.

In the Central Area, at 981 20th Ave., that building has eight units and eight surface parking stalls. Near Judkins Park, at 412 25th Ave. S., that building has 12 units and 12 garage parking stalls.
