Compass to build 254 Uptown units for Washington Holdings

No retail is planned for the building, rendered here as if looking northeast from Elliott.

A city-approved alley vacation and land sale, from Alexandria Real Estate Equities to Washington Holdings, still lie ahead. But next year is the goal for those two steps, followed by the demolition of a little old Uptown lab building at 410 W. Harrison St.
